Video has emerged of Justin Bieber apparently punching a fan from the back seat of his car. The 22-year-old singer was being driven to his concert in Barcelona stadium as part of the European leg of his Purpose tour when the incident occured.

The video, which was posted online by posted celebrity website TMZ, was filmed by local TV news crews last night as fans gathered for the concert. In it, the boy is seen turning to onlookers immediately after the alleged punch with a bleeding lip and saying, in Spanish, “he has just punched me”.

According to report, local police said they would not be automatically investigating the incident as it was “a misdemeanor rather than a crime” and that it was up to the victim to decide whether to make a formal complaint.
