The Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers is adding another location to the courses it has already run in Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny and Limerick. The institute introduces a new nine-week series of lectures in Drogheda from Wednesday, April 5th, at the end of which participants will be given a certificate in fine and decorative arts.

The wide-ranging syllabus focuses in particular on placing art objects within their historical context, and lecturers include antiques dealer Roxanne Moorhead, interior specialist Christopher Moore and silver expert Douglas Bennett.
