Blur frontman Damon Albarn turns 47 today and in celebration the band have released a third cut from upcoming new album The Magic Whip.
The upbeat throwback tune Lonesome Street (was it a cut left off Parklife?) comes out just three days after Friday's more-navel-gazing release There Are Too Many of Us, which was an exploration of overpopulation in China. The first song off the album, Go Out, was uploaded to YouTube on February 19th.
Last Friday, Blur debuted The Magic Whip live in full for 300 fan-club competition winners at London venue Mode.
The Magic Whip is the eighth studio album by Blur, the first since Think Tank (2003), and their first with guitarist Graham Coxon since 13 in 1999. It will be released on April 27th.
