Two new shows hit RTÉ's digital radio station 2XM from next week onwards.

Making the Waves, a programme which has been available as a podcast since 2006, will focus on unearthing new Irish music as well as highlighting established artists, and kicks off at 7pm on Monday. Internet show BalconyTV also extends to the airwaves, with a Tuesday evening slot (8pm).
