New York's finest shoot Irish vids

The Irish bands participating in this year’s Tisch music video project have been announced

The Irish bands participating in this year’s Tisch music video project have been announced. Each year, a number of acts have a music video made for them by students from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. The Tisch students spend one semester of their course in Dublin.

The 10 acts who will have to get ready for their close-ups over the next few weeks are Delorentos, David Geraghty, Deadbots, Director, The Gandhis, Heathers, I Phoenix, Neosupervital, Sweet Jane and Vengeance the Panther Queen.

Louise and Ellie MacNamara of Heathers told The Ticket they were "extremely excited" that a professional video made for their song Remember When. "We're so grateful for this opportunity. The programme seems like a really great idea," they said. "We get to share ideas and work with some amazingly talented people."

Lydia Des Dolles of Sweet Jane was also looking forward to shooting a video for her band's song You're Making This Hard. "It really is a fantastic idea, simply because it is merging two pretty savvy cities on the music scene right now," she said. "All our money is usually spent on touring, too, so with this project we to get to work with the best in up-and-coming directors for a purely creative ideal."
