Weather permitting, Dorothy Cross's Ghost Ship should be launched in Scotsman's Bay, Dun Laoghaire, on Wednesday evening. The vessel, a decommissioned lightship, will be covered in luminous paint and will seem to appear and disappear as it is illuminated. The project won Cross the Nissan Art Project award for a public artwork last year. Originally scheduled for last autumn, it was postponed until now due to difficulties along the way. It will be moored in the bay until February 21st, and will be best viewed after dark.
