An Bord Pleanala is to hold an oral hearing into the appeal by residents of Delgany, Co Wicklow, against a plan for 300 houses.

Mr Patrick Pender, chairman of the Delgany Area Residents' Action Group, said that formal notification of the hearing was still awaited, but they understood it would be in the Grand Hotel, Wicklow, on June 4th and 5th.

Mr Pender said that the residents' group believed it had a strong case for rejection of the entire scheme.
