AFTER a break for the summer, tomorrow sees the renewal of monthly antiques and collectables fairs in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire. More than 40 dealers from across the country will be present at this event, which opens to the public at 11 a.m. There is to be a strong emphasis on furniture, and among the pieces will be a Victorian, mahogany tallboy chest by Miller & Beatty of Dublin, a 19th century marquetry, inlaid French walnut etagere, a George IV Irish mahogany sideboard and an Edwardian, mahogany kneehole desk. There will be railway and motoring memorabilia, silver and porcelain. Also tomorrow in south Co Dublin a book fair will be held at Dalkey Town Hall, be inning at 11 a.m. Thousands of volumes will be for sale.
