Kennys Bookshop in Galway has recently issued a new catalogue featuring books of Irish literary criticism. The list runs to more than 900 items, which are listed alphabetically, according to author.

It opens with W.H. Auden and Louis MacNeice's Letters from Iceland - an edition published in New York in 1990 and priced at £18 - through to Alex Zwerdling's Yeats and the Heroic Ideal (£16).

A total of 138 entries relate to Yeats, while James Joyce features in no less than 115 books. Elsewhere, there are such interesting works as Micheal MacLiammoir's An Oscar of No Importance (£7.95) and Christina Colvin's Maria Edgeworth, Letters from England 1813-1844 (£71).
