A CORK man who was serving a sentence for having a sawn off shotgun has been released from custody by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. James O'Connor (24), of Maglin Grove, Togher, had the balance of his 3 1/2 year jail term suspended when his sentence came up for review before Judge Cyril Kelly. Reports had recommended the suspension.
O'Connor pleaded guilty two years ago to having unlawful possession of the gun at his home on July 10th, 1992.
