At postgraduate level, the RCSI has faculties of Radiologists, Dentistry and Nursing & Midwifery. Fellows of these faculties are recognised as specialists in their fields.

In addition, the college conducts a variety of training and examination programmes for surgeons from Ireland and overseas. Doctors who successfully complete these programmes may qualify as Fellows or Associate Fellows of the College and be conferred with the Fellowship (FRCSI) or Associate Fellowship (AFRCSI) accordingly.
