To all intents and purposes, Andy Butler is Hercules and Love Affair. Whatever about the all-singing, all-dancing cast last seen in these parts at 2008’s Electric Picnic, Butler is the producer who put the whole show on the road in the first place. He was the one who inveigled Antony Hegarty to

try on a pair of disco diva boots for size, wrote the songs for last year’s acclaimed debut album, and kept everything in motion.

Tonight, Butler is flying solo with a slew of house and classic disco tracks. While HLA tunes such as Blind show Butler’s abundance of skills in this regard, his new mix-album Sidetracked is a timely indicator of his dedication to the classic house cause.
