Urban surfers can practice the sport in the comfort of their living rooms following the launch of a new device. Called uSurf, the exercise machine simulates ocean surfing at three different speeds.

It helps strengthen and tone the lower body, improves the user's sense of balance and shapes up thighs and calves, according to manufacturer Osim. At its highest speed, the remote controlled device simulates surfing in "choppy waters".
