Kravitz was destined to be a notable figure in showbiz - his Bahamian mother was an actor, his Jewish father was a television producer, and his schoolmates at the Beverley Hills High School he attended included Slash (later of Guns'N'Roses) and Maria McKee (later of Lone Justice). His impressive debut Let Love Rulegets the 20th anniversary treatment, which means as well as the album proper (which features sturdy if retro rock that nods perhaps too much towards Jimi Hendrix) you get an extra disc that includes previously unreleased tracks, promo and B-side material, and live tracks culled from shows in Boston and Amsterdam.
