THIS charming drawing of a nude - called Going For a Swim - is by Phil Rafferty, from Omagh, Co Tyrone, who died last ear. De Veres art auctions will be holding a studio sale of Rafferty's work in Dublin on March 11th.

A friend of Gerard Dillon, who encouraged her to pursue her interest in painting, Phil Rafferty rarely showed pictures publicly, although she was included in the Irish Exhibition of Living Art in both 1960 and 1961.

Because few examples of her work were sold during Rafferty's lifetime, this studio sale contains a very generous selection of pictures.
