It is rumoured that Michael Sheen is set to play an evil mastermind with delusions of grandeur. Ha, ha! No, he’s not reprising his turn as Tony Blair.

The usual sources have, rather, suggested that Sheen will play deranged cat-dangling baldie Ernst Blofeld in the forthcoming Bond film. "Michael is hot property right now and it is felt that he's the right man to bring Blofeld back to life," some made-up expert told the Daily Express.
"Michael was a Bond fan in his youth, so this would be a dream role for him." Really? Perhaps the paper noticed that Peter Morgan, writer of Sheen hits Frost/Nixonand The Queen, was contributing to the Bond flick and, being short of a story, leapt to its own shaky conclusions.
