The Verve: "Lucky Man" (Hut)

It's not quite as inspiring as Bitter Sweet Symphony, nor as sublime as The Drugs Don't Work, but this ode to serendipity is still head and shoulders above the usual load of old ballads. The third single off the hugely successful Urban Hymns is backed by the tasteful and the languid The Longest Day.
