We haven't heard much from the French 'ouse duo in awhile, but a new iPod Nano ad has brought the Gallic husband-and-wife team back into the limelight. The silly punctuation is still there, but the duo have swopped the dance moves for a full-on rock 'n' roll charge featuring Daniel from Infadels on ripped-up vocals.
LOLEATTA HOLLOWAY
Love Sensation '06
Gusto
***
This is the song that was famously nicked by Black Box for their Ride on Time mega-hit, here restored to its original 1980 glory. Loleatta's dancefloor-shaking voice is impressive, and it's nice that she got her tune back, but the Hi-Tack, Dead Stereo and 7th Heaven remixes can't touch Black Box's original steal.
MUNDY
July (Live)
Camcor
****
We've tried praying, we've tried voodoo, but nothing seems to be able to coax summer out of hibernation. Time to get out the heavy artillery. If Mundy's anthem to the (allegedly) hottest month of the year doesn't do the trick, nothing will. This is from his upcoming live album and DVD, so get singing along - and help bring back the sunshine.
THE ANSWER
Into the Gutter
Albert Productions
**
The Answer want to be Northern Ireland's answer to Led Zep, but Into the Gutter threatens to plunge us all into The Darkness. Sure, there's no shortage of steel, but there's a bit too much spandex sprinkled in there too.

When (and if) summer finally kicks in, we can all kick back and waltz to the latest from the very fab Irish ambient electronica lads, available to download from the above website. This one features foxy vocals from Sinead Buckley, and is backed by the instrumental Mack the Joy Hound.
ARCHIE BRONSON OUTFIT
Dead Funny

Those dirty, swampy bluesy dadaists from the West County have a new album, the onomatopoeically titled Derdang Derdang, and here's a tune driven by a rollicking beat and Sam Windett's scuzzy southern drawl - south London, that is, guv'ner, y'all.
