With a surname like that, this ex-boyband member from NY has a lot to live up to. Luckily, he's capable of being just as schmaltzy as his legendary namesake, although, judging from this tune, he'd prefer to be a powerpop version of Trousersnake.

France's answer to Basement Jaxx (Downstairs Louvre, perhaps?) make a rockin' return to the dancefloor with skankin' guitars, Popcorn-poppin' synths and an infectious chant. This is from their long-awaited second album, 15 Again, and should bring you straight back to the school disco.

THE WEBB SISTERS
Still the Only One

The Irish singer shares many influences with her mate, Gemma Hayes, but here she carves out her own style, with help from star sidekicks David Kitt, Katell Keineg and Mark Geary.

ELTON JOHN

Summer holidays are over and it's back to work - time to release all those big Ibiza anthems and relive those hot days and hotter nights. This latin-flavoured anthem features vocals from Steve Edwards, and should keep the carnival going right up to Christmas.

WOLFMOTHER

Now boarding at platform 1970s, here's a breakneck Hammond-and-guitar groove from the Aussie retro rockers. Because it's not by The Raconteurs, it'll probably get slagged off as old hat.
