A "musical garden" of 15 large scale instruments from Belgium, designed by a Swiss music educationalist to give young children a "hands on" - and sometimes "feet-on" musical experience, will be part of Musicfest at the Ark from Monday for two weeks. Individual children from the ages of three to eight can participate in sessions at weekends but numbers will be strictly limited.

From Wednesday to Friday next there will be lunchtime concerts for older children, by the Irish traditional group, Cran, by the jazz/traditional fusion group, Khanda, and by the Dublin born pianist, Philip Martin. Entertainer Eric Nagler will also present a music show on the weekend of April 5th and 6th, playing instruments including fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar. Phone the Ark on 01-6707788 for further details and to book.
