I, Robot Varese Sarabande

In his liner note, I, Robot director Alex Proyas describes Marco Beltrani's score as a "great score that can be listened to without the accompanying images and still be enjoyed." I, Robot is indeed one of Beltrani's most mature and confident scores. It draws together the experimental impulses of his early sci-fi and horror films (notably Scream 1, 2 and 3) - evoking the work of contemporary composers such as Krystof Penderecki and Wojciek Kilar - with a more sophisticated instrumental palette.
