My CDs weigh a ton dept: Golden Discs and 2TV have teamed up to find the Top 100 albums of all time, as voted for by the Irish public. Yeah, I know, Channel 4 did this lark already, but if you drop into Golden Discs and nominate your favourite album, you could win all 100 of Ireland's most popular albums. Now that's what I call mucho music!
The Bacardi Hot Press Unplugged Grand Final is on tonight at the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin, and six finalists will plug it out for a prize package worth around 14 grand. The bands competing for cash, recording equipment, studio time and other music industry leg-ups are Hooky, Asterix, Beach, Shallow, Lucidien and The McCluskeys.
