Murphy Brewery stokes up its entertainment sponsorship with the Heineken-Murphy's Red Hot Festival, featuring Ardal O'Hanlon, Junkster, Ben Elton, David Holmes, Dylan Moran, Aslan and Paul Merton, performing in various venues around Cork from September 16th to 20th.

Hot on the heels of their fourth UK Number One hit, No Matter What, Boyzone have announced their Christmas concerts at the Point, Dublin on December 28th, 29th and 30th. Tickets go on sale tomorrow priced £17.50. The Boyz now have the most UK Number Ones by an Irish band, passing out U2 and the Boomtown Rats.

Vicar Street, Harry Crosbie's new 700-capacity hotspot, opens its doors to the music-loving public on Sunday 30th; the autumn line-up includes Tom Robinson, Lloyd Cole, Steve Harley, Loudon Wainwright III and Don McLean.
