Adjagas's music is based around the concept of the yoik. The yoik, says Lawra Somby, is a traditional music form which describes something not with words but with sounds.
You can start a yoik where you like, you can end it where you like. Its elements remain structured but are fluid at the same time.
The content of the yoik deliberately has many meanings in order to spare, if necessary, the feelings of the subject. It may pass judgment but is open to interpretation. A yoik is not written - it comes to a person. Some "yoikers" sleep with their mobile phone by their bed so that when a yoik comes to them in their dreams they can record it the moment they wake.
