INDIE
The Antlers
Olympia Theatre 8pm €25/€22.50 olympia.ie
Rising to prominence from the release of their 2009 album, Hospice, New York band Antlers have since forged a path as purveyors of slow-burning indie music that is underscored with poignancy. Not Dizzee Rascal, then, but still quite special in their own graceful, understated way. TCL
DJ
KAYTRANADA
Button Factory Dublin 10.30pm €20 soundcloud.com/kaytranada
Haiti-born and Montreal-raised, young DJ and producer Kaytranada has been turning heads with his bevy of glittering, sexy beats and his wonky take on hip-hop, r’n’b and house. After a clutch of EPs, remixes and releases for labels such as Bromance, HW&W and Jakarta, and appearances at the better turned-out festivals worldwide, the XL label came calling and swooped him up. A name you’ll be dropping quite a lot in 2015. JC
