Passed through the Westlink and the usual massive queues today. Can anyone explain why they can't eliminate the charge northbound and charge double southbound thereby reducing queueing times by 50 per cent as well as alleviating a serious traffic hazard at the Lucan slip road. - Ned Carroll, Dublin
A stupid, dangerous minority of drivers will not use headlights unless it is pitch dark. Lights make us safer because we are more visible, particularly on dim mornings and evenings. It should be compulsory to use lights all day, to aid visibility.

Under the rules of the road, you use your horn to warn of danger, so I plan to blow my horn whenever I see one. Enough horns will alert the gardaí to the law breaker. - Michael O'Malley, Dublin
