Ryan Gander is an English artist of growing international repute. He’s also a wheelchair user, lending him a perspective that his work sometimes addresses. As he notes, he is a conceptual artist and comes up with ideas that are carried out by others. His output (right) ranges widely from simple graphics to marble sculptures, photographs to films but always with a quizzical, irreverent edge. This touring show, the first in Ireland, marshals a number of his key projects from the last decade or so. AD

Deep
The Dock, Leitrim 8.30pm
Even against the euphoric beat of Raymond Scannell's Deep, which combines a fictitious family story with a true history of Cork's hard house venue Sir Henry's, you hear revealingly blue notes. "You remember it. You were there," says his narrator, conjuring vivid images of blissful optimism. Not everybody partied through the boom to bust years, and Scannell's absorbing piece avoids nostalgia. Instead it looks at a nation in transition and wonders – of friendship, family and society – can anything last?
