A good quality late 19th century boulle and ebony side cabinet, (£4,000-£6,000) will be amongst the items for auction at Mullen's, Laurel Park on Monday, November 6th at 7 p.m. Destined to be fought over, however, is the Irish Georgian gilt mirror (£4,000-£6,6000), a rectangular plate within a leaf and scroll-carved frame of leaves and flowers, the scrolled cresting centred by double shell and flanked by winged birds.
This varied selection of 18th and 19th century Irish, English and Continental furniture will also include nearly 40 lots of garden furniture, statues and urns and while it may seem an odd time of year for this, it is probably also a good time to pick up a bargain.
And with global warming, who knows what the weather will be like in December? The best of these is an Italian composition figure of a rearing stallion - just the right centrepiece for someone's Italianate garden (£2,000-£2,500).
Viewing is today and tomorrow, noon - 6 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m - 6 p.m.
