More than 650 lots, covering a huge variety of items, will be auctioned at a sale of the contents of Dunderry Park, near Navan, Co Meath, a house which was sold some months ago.

Among the indoor furniture, (there are some particularly good bookcases, two of them coming ally from Headfort House the same county. Both these George III mahogany breakfront examples date from around 1780 and have broken pediments, but they differ in that only one has dentil moulding around the top.
Both pieces carry the same estimate of £8,000-£12,000.
Another Irish mahogany bookcase from the same period, and with the same estimate, has come from Kilmurry House in Co Kilkenny, home of the painter, Mildred Anne Butler.
In the house's dining room is a very substantial William IV side table (circa 1835), with a rectangular top and brass three quarter gallery. It is expected to make £8,000-£10,000. A pair of hand some Irish Georgian mahogany and brass bound plate buckets from the late 18th century are estimated at £3,000-£3,500, and a French post empire gilt bronze clock (circa 1820) could make more than its estimate of £1,200-£1,600. A pair of Edwardian satinwood open front book shelves are estimated to sell for £6,000-£7,000.
An Irish mahogany hall bench from the mid 18th century is another piece expected to do well together with a mahogany drop leaf table from the same period (both estimated at £2,000-£2,500). There are also a pair of mid 19th century Viennese ebony and porcelain side cabinets (£6,000-£8,000) and a Dutch marquetry tallboy from about 1840 (£3,000-£4,000).
However, it is in the nature of this kind of auction that the variety and price of items is extremely wide and not everything will sell for such prices. Indeed, many of the lots carry modest estimates.
