In yet another instance of a freeze gradually turning into a thaw, Cincinnati's Afghan Whigs split up in 2001 only to regroup 10 years later. Inevitably, they bring buckets of experience to the game, from their early days in the grunge scene to their later incorporation of R&B and soul, as well as the lyrics of singer Greg Dulli, who clearly favours the anti-hero.
