Burns night with the Ulster Orchestra, Belfast Waterfront, Saturday, 7.45pm
The Ulster Orchestra, conducted by John Logan, will lead all the performers in this annual Burns Night celebration which features a programme of music that mixes traditional favourites with more up to date work such as Dougie MacLean's The Gael, taken from the soundtrack of the film Last of the Mohicans and Logan's own composition, Tiree.

Mark Clare: I Believe in You, Sligo, Saturday
A major solo exhibition from artist Mark Clare opens on Saturday at the Model gallery in Sligo. I Believe in You focuses on combative social issues such as globalisation, individualism and public space. The work looks at society’s disaffection with political engagement and its complex relationship with public institutions.

The winter/spring season of the Galway Film Society is underway and on Sunday the Town Hall Theatre screens Human Capital. The Italian film approaches a stranger's tragic death from three different perspectives. The lives of two families, at first only loosely linked by their teenagers' relationship, overlap in multitudinous ways to devastating effect.
