Such talent was heightened a few years back, following her separation from singer-songwriter Josh Ritter. Expect, then, some songs with a bluer hue than normal.

Helmed by BBC Radio Ulster’s alternative and indie music maestro Rigsy, and with a galaxy of guests, Sketchy is your one-stop shop when it comes to beats with bass, fun and the extra-large oomph factor. Add in a blast of confetti cannons, giant balloon drops and Neon Kool Aid and you’re elected.

The first show of several for Lanegan, the most committedly morose of US singers and songwriters, and guess what: we’ll be first in the queue for a dose of a voice so distinctive that it’s been described as scratchy as three-day stubble yet supple as moccasin leather.
