Temple Bar Tradfest

Various venues, Dublin templebartrad.com

This year’s Tradfest kicks off today with an audience with The Dubliners’ John Sheahan, with Lyric FM’s John Kelly in the hot seat. From there the momentum gathers, with a cracking line-up including DIT’s Irish Traditional and Early Music Ensemble, the six De Barra brothers and Hothouse Flowers. Not a bad way to brighten up these final dark days of January.

HOUSE

Infinity Ink

Hangar, Dublin 11pm €5 houseofinfinity.co.uk

London duo Ali Love and Luca C know what it takes to produce dancefloor killers. Their work with the fascinating Hot Natured (whose 2013 Different Sides of the Sun album is still well worth exploring), various Infinity Ink cuts like Infinity and Aya and collaborations with The Chemical Brothers, Róisín Murphy and Justice have spread the word about what the pair are capable of producing. Support from James Hannan and Jaz Keane.
