How do you get to the gig – limo, taxi, walking?A bit of all three just to keep it varied and then maybe a few yards by bike.

What's the best gig you've been to, and why?Prince at Madison Square Gardens, New York – someone had spiked my drink with an illegal substance.

And the worst?The Wurzels unplugged.

Most embarrassing on-stage moment?Falling off my stool down the back of the stage.

What's your crowd-pleasing number?Captain Dread (that's our "pirate" song).

Chatting between songs – good or bad?A little bit of chat never hurt anyone, especially as our MC does it in a ragga stylee.

Groupies – would you?If I was in a hairy rock band in America in the 70s maybe, but today it doesn't mean anything. Honestly.

How many roadies does it take to change your lightbulbs? One roadie who does everything, including driving and making cocktails.

Have you a special stage wardrobe? It's called a suitcase.

Do you like to meet and greet fans after the gig?Yes, indeed. It's what it's all about.

Any useful stage tips?Yes, don't block my view of the crowd.

What's the worst thing ever thrown at you?A well-timed insult by a drunken poet.

Who's invited to your aftershow party? You!
