EACH of us has our own eating style. For some this means preparing ostentatiously "healthy" salads, then sneaking chocolate bars at every opportunity. For others, it means meat and potatoes seven days a week. An Irish national nutrition survey found that we fall into five main groups. Fifteen per cent of people are Good Foodies who only eat and drink things that they believe are "good" for them.
But a far higher proportion 39 per cent - are Healthy Balancers who don't worry too much about what they eat as long as they eat enough healthy things like fruit and vegetables. Another 30 per cent are Hedonists who eat and drink things that they enjoy and don't worry about anything else. One in 10 people are Debtor/creditors they feel that they can eat and drink what they like as long as they take lots of exercise.
Finally, one in 20 is a Grazer; self proclaimed non foodies who are so uninterested in the whole subject that they'll eat anything. Which one are you? See illustrations, right.
