Chartered building surveyor is one of seven professional surveyors recognised by the Society of Chartered Surveyors.
There are around 50 qualified and 30 probationary building surveyors in the State.
On leaving college probationary building surveyors earn around £15,000. Newly qualified, about two years after leaving college, they earn £22,000 to £25,000.
