A teenager has died following an early morning road crash in Achill, Co Mayo.
The 17-year-old boy was pronounced deceased at the scene after the single-vehicle crash on the R319 at Keel, Achill.
He was the sole occupant of the car which crashed shortly before 1am on Monday.
Gardaí are currently at the scene which is closed to all traffic, affecting access to areas on Achill Island west of Keel.

Garda forensic collision investigators have been notified and a report will be sent to the local coroner, a Garda spokesperson said.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, as well as those who may have video footage, particularly motorists with dashcam from the area at the time.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Westport Garda station on 098 502 30, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station,” the spokesperson said.
Just hours prior, a man in his 70s was fatally injured when hit by a car in Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick.
The pedestrian died at the scene after the crash involving a car on New Street shortly after 9pm on Sunday.
