Oxegen is the place to be this weekend. Sold out in just 12 hours, the festival is now in its third year. This year's line-up at Punchestown, near Naas in Co Kildare, includes Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who (right), Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand. Soccer fans who have been hogging the best seats in the house as well as the remote controls have a battle on their hands: it may be the World Cup tomorrow on Sunday, but this weekend also sees the Wimbledon finals. From Tuesday, Galway Film Fleadh presents more than 70 Irish and international features, including the documentaries Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price, A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash and An Inconvenient Truth, about Al Gore's crusade against global warming. Galway Cathedral Recitals begin, for a 13th year, on Thursday evening. The first of the weekly performances is by Galway Baroque Singers, whose programme includes Bach, Handel, Pergolesi and Pärt. Other weeks will see, among others, the young Chinese cellist Li Lu play Bach's cello suites and the mezzo Edel O'Brien sing Elgar and de Falla. More than 2,000 jugglers will descend on Millstreet, in Co Cork, tomorrow for the 29th European Juggling Convention. The town will host a week-long extravaganza of juggling shows, workshops, street theatre, children's events and more.
