I Can't Live Without . . . Tracy Ryan, owner/director of Bespoke Events, Marketing and PR, Kilkenny
Mac concealer, blusher and mascara My skin is quite sallow and I am prone to dark circles so I cannot live without Mac concealer. It covers a multitude and makes my skin look much clearer and fresher. A dash of Pink Swoon Mac blusher adds a bit of colour to my face and Mac Plush Lash Mascara lifts my eyes.
Stop the Clock moisturiser My skin gets really dry so I can’t live without a good moisturiser, especially for my face. I am currently using Stop the Clock by the Sanctuary Spa in London. It is really rich and nourishing with lots of natural moisturisers, including royal jelly, honey, shea butter and jojoba.
Rimmel nail varnish I love wearing bright colours that pop on my nails. Rimmel has great colours and they dry quite quickly, which is essential when you are on the go with a new business and a young child.
My little boy I can’t live without my little boy Noah. He is the happiest little person I know and although he is not yet even three years old, we have some serious fun together.
Don't be a Paddy last
Only two weeks until Mother’s Day . . . so now’s the time to get your thinking cap on if you don’t want to be running around at the last minute (which this year happens to be St Patrick’s Day). Designer Stella McCartney has paid a tribute to her late mother with the fragrance, L.I.L.Y (the letters stand for Linda I Love You). It’s an elegant blend revolving around lily of the valley and it adapts to the skin chemistry of the wearer. It costs from €65.50.
Ahead of the rest
All over Ireland, 300 top stylists are busy sharpening their scissors in readiness for the Irish Hairdressing Championships which take place in Dublin tomorrow. With that much talent in one place, expect gravity-defying creations, precision cutting and head-turning colour.
Previous winners making their mark further afield. Louise Jordan of Mohh Hair Couture in Galway who picked up no less than 10 medals at European level. Keep an eye out for Raimondas Pasternackis who was named was named World Best Men’s Stylist 2011 in Milan last year and is opening his own grooming room in Dublin in the next few months.

Oats so good
The cholesterol-lowering power of oats may not be news to you, but did you know that added to a bath, oats are a natural remedy for soothing skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis? Aveeno has harnessed the benefits of oats in its extensive skincare range. The rich emollients provide a soothing effect and also leave a protective barrier to prevent moisture loss. And the prices are purse friendly – this Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion won’t break the bank at €5.25, from chemists and supermarkets.
