Medical doctor turned fashion designer Sheila Considine, who closed her Dun Laoghaire boutique during the crash, has resurfaced in a beautifully renovated 18th century building in Cabinteely, south Dublin which locals still call The Old Dispensary.
The building, which took two years to convert, now houses her new collection of washed linens, boiled wools and Liberty prints in her familiar pared-back shapes along with her woven-beaded dancing doll earrings (€40).
Prices start at €95 for linen and cotton tops up to €285 for dresses in linen, Liberty print or jersey. “Sheila’s Cabin” was the original name of Cabinteely, so it’s a serendipitous location for Considine’s new venture.
