Wear it out: Shiny shoes and dapper Dans

Check out some simple ways to sharpen up your wardrobe yet remain smart casual

This week it is the boys’ turn and we meet Robbie Eastman to check out his effortless smart casual look for this weekend.

Jacket

There comes a time when boys must grow up and invest in a man’s coat. This is one of those coats. Have a look at the menswear line sold on Asos called Reclaimed vintage, they have some great men’s coats and jackets. They are vintage inspired pieces but come in all sizes which is often difficult when shopping vintage. This line solves now that problem for you.

Asos reclaimed vintage overcoat, €120.

I like it when the men keep it simple, none of these slogan T-shirts with “Berlin” or “LA” plastered all over the front of them. River Island always has a great range of basic tees costing between €8-€12 and often they are buy two get one free. So go, get a few and kit your wardrobe out.

Check them out online and in stores nationwide.

Jeans

This is definitely a case of denim done right. The fit of his jeans is smart and neat. These jeans could easily work for a more formal setting where blue denim wouldn’t cut it. My tip as always is get measured to make sure you are getting the right size as this will make all the difference.

Kaneko Cigarette Jeans, All Saints, €120.

Shoes

A pair of shoes that the shoe-shine man would be proud of. These shoes bring this look into the weekend. They make this otherwise casual look become dapper.

Black Patent Dr Marten Shoes, €130.

Bag

The man bag, no longer something to be ashamed of. The accessory of choice for all well-dressed men. With this stylish and useful accessory, you can throw a few bits in your bag, head out on Friday and not come home till Sunday.

All Saints Blackwater Holdall, €188.
