What’s good/bad about summer where you live, compared to summers in Ireland?

Choc-Ices and 99s melting on a rare hot day, buckets and spades building sandcastles on the strand, or mournful stares out a mobile home window at the rain and howling wind... if you're living abroad, we want to know what you miss most about summers in Ireland, and what you don't miss at all. What's good/bad about summer where you live, compared to summers in Ireland?

Send us your stories, memories and longings to abroad@irishtimes.com. Please include a few lines about you, mentioning where you live now, how long you've lived away, and what you do. A summery photo in Ireland or abroad is a plus. A selection may be published online or in print. Thank you.
