Irish in Queensland: Have you been hit by the floods?

Sightings of crocs and snakes reported as region experiences unprecedented flooding

After record-breaking high temperatures hit Australia in recent weeks, unprecedented flooding is now wreaking destruction in north Queensland, with conditions not set to improve until the weekend. Thousands of homes have been submerged, roads and bridges have disappeared, and sightings of crocodiles and snakes swimming in flood water have been reported.

The Irish Times would like to hear from readers living in north Queensland. Have you been affected by the floods? Can you describe what you have seen, and how they have impacted on your surroundings? Have you had to evacuate, or do you fear you will have to?

You can send your experiences and pics by email, or via this form online.

A selection of responses may be published on irishtimes.com.
