Summer 2008 is all about dresses - pretty, flirty and best of all, easy to wear. There is a shape and style out there to suit all ages and figures. Every option is covered. There are frocks with sleeves for those who want to cover their arms, strapless numbers to show off tanned décolletés and fairy-like maxi dresses to make you feel like a little girl again, twirling around the garden.
Choose from innocent looking broderie anglaise to ethereal silks and chiffons, and subtly embroidered cottons. The catwalks were blooming with handpainted flowers on delicate silks, and the high street has done itself proud by almost trumping the designers, and whipping up the prettiest floral frocks seen in years.
The most-often photographed dress of the season must be Topshop's Kate Moss pansy model, designed and modelled by Moss (right).
Keep this look fresh with loose, natural hair, and just a dab of pink blush on cheeks. Going overboard with accessories is also a no-no; let the simplicity of the dress shine through.
