FINISHING TOUCHES
For evening glow, add a sheen to shoulders, décolleté and legs. These products add that final touch, and are also useful by days for legs minus tights in the office.
Rioblush 'City Girl' Firming Leg Shimmer(£40). With fans such as Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman, this finishing cream contours and enhances skin to give a toned appearance, and the light-reflecting ingredients give a gorgeous glow. You won't want to stop at your legs. Available from www.spacenk.com.
Coty Sunshimmer(€10.99). Cheap as chips and gives a great result. Boosts a tan and doesn't come off on clothes. A classic.
Chanel Sun-Kissed Effect Loose Powder(€ 53). A reinterpretation of the first sun care range by Chanel (remember girls, Coco was responsible for making the suntan fashionable). This is a totally luxurious sparkle powder in a spicy coral-pink shade. From cheekbones to décolleté, it's divine.
A LIGHTER SHADE OF PALE
That natural healthy glow is a winner for summer’s more relaxed approach to make-up, but one that is difficult to achieve if you have pale skin. Fairer types need a lighter tone to get a “barely there” glow and there are some great options out this year.
Clinique Almost Bronzer(€32). The name says it all. A sheer bronzing duo lets you customise a natural, long-wearing colour. Oil free and SPF 15.
Clarins Summer Glow Palette(€30.30). This limited edition palette adds a believable glow due to the four harmonising shades of corals and pinks. Great for adding life to a dull complexion, and has SPF15.
Sisley Phyto-Touches Peach-Gold duo(€69). The release of this lighter shade in the range means fairer skins can enjoy the benefits of this superb sun powder, which blends effortlessly and gives a slightly iridescent finish.
Lancôme Tropique Minerals(€40.50). Designed by cutting-edge artistic director Aaron De Mey, this range of four shades adds a subtle veil of colour to the skin using Italian ochres to brighten and protect. It has SPF10.

HINT OF COLOUR
Bright sunlight and heavy foundations do not complement each other, so consider switching to a tinted moisturiser or a lighter finish base.
