Cookery tutor and TV chef Andrew Rudd is going on the road again with his TV3 colleague Alan Hughes and their Cookery Roadshow.

Next Wednesday they will be at the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise, where Rudd and fellow chef Ruth Wassell will team up with rugby pundit Brent Pope and Laois footballer Ross Munnelly in a Ready Steady Cook-style showdown, to be judged by Nick Munier of Pichet restaurant in Dublin and Jim Tynan of The Kitchen and Foodhall in Portlaoise. The following evening they will be at the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow, where Leinster and Ireland international rugby player Bernard Jackman and Carlow hurler Johnny Nevin will join the panel, and Kevin Dundon will be guest judge. A food village, wine tasting, spot prizes and a raffle complete the line-up for the roadshows, which start at 7.30pm (doors open 6.30pm). To buy tickets (€20), see www.andrewrudd.ie.
