Next Friday heralds the arrival of spring as Irish Cancer Society volunteers take to the streets for their annual Daffodil Day. If you would like to join them, register online at www.cancer.ie. Alternatively, purchase a beautiful bunch of daffs on the day, or do as suggested by the society’s new culinary ambassador, restaurateur Patrick Guilbaud, and donate €2 at the end of your meal if you eat out at a participating restaurant this month. The donation will support the society’s nursing programmes.
