Seven things to do this week

Seven things to do this week

TODAY: Kenmare is undoubtedly the place to be this weekend for the first "Appetite for Life" festival. You're bound to fall into good company as well as great food in a small town with 44 restaurants - 12 of them in the Michelin Guide. Contact Margaret Ryan on 087-2367413 for last-minute accommodation.

TOMORROW: Head for Bundoran for a spell of sassy salsa dancing, R&B parties, dance workshops and open-floor competitions overseen by Dr Rumba, among others. Bundoran and Westport now host salsa festivals every November and February. www.afrimania.com has the details.

MONDAY: New Michael Collins memorabilia, presented to the National Museum by the general's great grand-nephew, Michael Collins, is now on display at, you guessed it, Collins Barracks in Benburb Street, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. See www.museum.ie
