There was very little love for the Love Ulster parade, as an organised mob laid waste to O'Connell Street and other parts of central Dublin on a Saturday afternoon in February.

Gardaí in riot gear eventually forced the rioters down the main thoroughfare.

Rioters then overturned and burned cars on Nassau Street and South Leinster Street (see cover). Next came looting on O'Connell Street, as rioters' "nationalist" ideals and taste in sports goods apparently came into perfect harmony.
