Family drama in Trinity

Fresh from a successful run in the West End, and its Irish premiere this week in Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe, catch Only Our Own, a new play by Swedish playwright Ann Henning Jocelyn at the Samuel Beckett Theatre, Trinity College from April 21st-25th. The play, directed by Cathryn Parker, follows three generations of a dispossessed Anglo-Irish family carving a place for themselves in a different Ireland. Grandmother Lady Eliza is haunted by memories of the Civil War, grandson Peregrine is anxious to distance himself while his parents face a choice of remaining in their ivory tower or reaching out to build bridges across the divide. This timely piece should make for some tense family drama.
